Escarabacho Picudo Rojo
Los Arqueros has seen the arrival of "escarabacho picudo rojo" a flying parasite which has caused the destruction of innumerable palm trees on the Costa del Sol last year.
The species of palm that are affected by this parasite are the Phoenix Canariensis and the Phoenix Dactiliferas.
Trees should be treated 6 times per year, and the cost should be €25.00 per tree per treatment.
